Digital Planning Director
Bea is an award-winning digital strategist with ten years of advertising experience across international markets. Her approach to strategy merges brand thinking and consumer-cultural insighting with digital engagement planning and content strategy.
She has held leadership positions across the region. At Wunderman Singapore she led the strategic planning team, where her team covered account work in social strategy, CRM and digital business solutions. At McCann Shanghai she was part of the Commonwealth team that handles Chevrolet globally. She led digital and social strategy covering their international markets (Asia Pacific, South Africa, Middle East, Russia).
She is originally from Manila, where she spent her formative career years. At McCann Manila she started out in account servicing, but quickly expressed her passion for (then-emerging) digital media. She was designated as the agency's first Digtal Account Manager and tasked with internal education and capability development. She continued to champion digital with a move to the Strategic Planning team and was promoted to Planning Director in 2012, tasked to set up the strategy team for MRM Manila. In McCann her key accounts included Coca-Cola, Nescafe, KitKat, Maggi, Bank of the Philippine Islands, San Miguel and Philippine Airlines. She was also critical to the creation of McCann's Regional Social Council, which developed products and education across the reigon.
Her work was recognized by Campaign Asia's Agency of the Year Awards in 2012. She was named SEA Account Person of the Year (a category for suits and planners), the same year that MRM was recognized as the Philippine Digital Agency of the Year. In 2013 she was awarded Rising Star at the Global McCann Worldgroup Excellence Awards in New York. In 2014 she was recognized as a Young Market Master by Mansmih Philippines, a leading marketing consultancy.
To fuel career growth, Bea has continued post-graduate studies. She holds a professional certificate from New York University in Digital Media Marketing and has just completed graduate studies with The New School in Design Business from the Strategic Design Management department. She shares her personal thoughts about brands and digital at www.beyourdigitalbest.com.
